1. About

These terms and conditions govern the use of the online store accessible at shop.arlency.com and all orders placed through it. The store is operated by Arlency, a sole trader registered with the RCS des Yvelines under number 892738626RM078, represented by Cyrille Parry.

By browsing this store and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms in their entirety. These terms apply to the exclusion of all other provisions unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

2. Products & Editions

All prints offered for sale are photographic works by Cyrille Parry, produced as numbered limited editions. Each print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed and numbered by the artist.

For most works, edition sizes are set to qualify as original works of art under applicable French tax law (numbered and signed prints in a total edition not exceeding 30 copies across all formats and media). Where larger editions are offered, this is clearly indicated on the product page.

All prints are produced in France by a specialist fine art print studio using archival-grade giclée techniques and museum-quality materials.

Available formats for each work are displayed on the individual product page and may vary depending on the resolution of the original file. Format availability is set to ensure maximum print quality for each image.

3. Pricing & Taxes

All prices are displayed in euros (EUR). As a registered independent entrepreneur (auto-entrepreneur), Arlency is not subject to VAT collection under French law. No VAT is charged or displayed.

Prices vary according to the format, paper type and finish selected by the buyer.

For orders shipped outside the European Union or French overseas territories, the buyer is considered the importer of the print and is solely responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes or other fees. These costs cannot be invoiced to Arlency.

4. Ordering Process & Payment

Orders placed through shop.arlency.com are order requests. Production begins only after payment has been confirmed by Arlency.

Upon receiving your order request, Arlency will contact you within 24 hours to confirm the order details and communicate the final total including shipping costs, based on your delivery address and the size of the package.

Payment is accepted by bank transfer or card link communicated directly by Arlency. The buyer undertakes to provide complete and accurate billing and delivery information. Any additional costs arising from incomplete or inaccurate information — including failed delivery attempts — will be the responsibility of the buyer.

A mobile phone number is required at the time of ordering to allow the carrier to coordinate delivery.

5. Shipping & Packaging

Shipping costs depend on the destination, the dimensions and weight of the package, and the number of prints ordered. The final shipping cost will be communicated to the buyer before payment is processed.

Free delivery applies to destinations within Île-de-France (within approximately 25 km of Paris). For eligible orders, Arlency may offer hand delivery by the artist.

The choice of carrier is made by Arlency and its print studio partner based on the characteristics of each order (size, value, packaging requirements). All shipments include parcel tracking so the buyer can follow the progress of their order.

Delivery timescales are indicative only. Delays beyond the control of Arlency (strikes, weather events, customs processing, etc.) will not give rise to cancellation or compensation.

For urgent orders, the buyer should contact Arlency before placing an order to discuss expedited shipping options. Any additional costs for express delivery will be communicated in advance and must be paid prior to production.

6. Reception & Inspection

Upon receiving the package, the buyer must inspect the contents in the presence of the carrier where possible. If delivery is accepted by a third party on behalf of the buyer, the buyer assumes responsibility for ensuring prompt inspection of the print.

In the event of a damaged package or damaged print, the buyer must:

Arlency will then advise on the return procedure. As all prints are numbered, a damaged print must always be returned before a replacement is issued. Return shipping costs for damaged or non-conforming prints will be covered by Arlency.

The buyer will have the choice between a full refund or a replacement print produced to the same specifications.

7. Returns & Right of Withdrawal

In addition to the damaged goods procedure above, the buyer has the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the print, in accordance with French consumer law.

To exercise this right, the buyer must notify Arlency within the 14-day period by:

The exercise of the right of withdrawal requires:

Refund of the print price and original outbound shipping costs is conditional on verification of the returned print's condition. The return procedure will be communicated by Arlency upon first contact from the buyer within the legal timeframe.

8. Colour Accuracy

The buyer acknowledges that colours displayed on screen may vary slightly from the final printed work. This can result from differences in monitor calibration, colour profiles, and display technology.

If any doubt remains about the precise colours of a work, we recommend viewing the image on a second device (smartphone, another monitor) before ordering. Arlency's print studio uses calibrated equipment and precise ICC colour profiles to ensure the closest possible match to the artist's original intent.

9. Conservation & Care

Although all prints are produced on durable, archival-quality materials, the buyer is strongly advised to:

No warranty or guarantee can be applied in the event of use that does not comply with these recommendations.

10. Intellectual Property

All photographs offered for sale on shop.arlency.com are protected by intellectual property law (French Code de la propriété intellectuelle and applicable international conventions). Any partial or total reproduction of these photographs without the express authorisation of the artist may constitute an infringement of copyright.

In accordance with Article L111-3 of the French Code de la propriété intellectuelle, ownership of the physical print does not confer any intellectual property rights over the photographic work it reproduces. The buyer may not reproduce, distribute or exploit the image in any form without the prior written consent of the artist. Unauthorised use may give rise to legal proceedings.

The graphic design and visual elements of shop.arlency.com are the exclusive property of Arlency. Reproduction without prior written consent is prohibited.

11. Disputes & Mediation

In the event of a dispute, the buyer and Arlency undertake to seek a negotiated resolution in good faith before resorting to legal proceedings.

If no resolution can be reached, the buyer, acting as a private individual, may refer the matter to the consumer mediation service to which Arlency is affiliated.

For any issue or complaint, you may also contact us directly via the contact page.
